Hi! Maura Bawn here again. In 1969 I married the love of my life and headed off to Mallorca on honeymoon. Our destination was Arenal. Arrived at Palma airport, got coach to Arenal. Now neither of us had ever been on a foreign holiday before so we were very excited. Our hotel was lovely, got settled in and kept to ourselves for the first two days. Then we met up with two other couples, one from Dublin and the other from England. The six of us got on great. We went on tours to places such as where Chopin wrote his music. The trips included art galleries, a pearl factory, numerous wineries and of course we tested the products. We had a fabulous ten days. Guess how much? £100 for the two of us-full board and we had £100 to spend. We even brought home £50 after having a wonderful holiday. Good times!
