Brigitte Arrives
Later that Saturday 14th I awaited the arrival of Brigitte, a French woman that I got to know in Valencia during a weekend course of swing dancing at Benimaclet and Patacona. At that time in 2019 I was in Spain on a home exchange. In fact, there I met three sisters, Brigitte, Chantal from Paris and Marie- Claude from Vancouver, Marie- Claude who speaks French with a Scottish accent. Brigitte arrived rather late having just sold her campervan on the previous day. The meal though delicious was like a last supper as restaurants including ours, La Découverte was closing sharply before midnight for an indefinite period due to Covid 19 .Brigitte had already decided to return to Valencia even though she had booked a week in an air bnb apartment for a week. This was an historic day and a rare event sharing a night out together in Perpignan.
It all sounds like a world away Lily Anne!
Thats the good thing about keeping the holiday memories alive. I’m glad now I made the most of the quinzaine or fortnight and wrote it up while still fresh in mind. Am looking forward to other peoples stories sharing the fun of travel both here in Ireland and abroad. Lily Anne
