Hi, my name is Lily Anne!

Welcome to my travel blog about sharing stories and adventures.

I have started with a collection of stories 1-13 My House Share in Perpignan in English & already translated into French 1-13 Ma Colocation à Perpignan. Just keep scrolling and you’ll find the English versions of the Perpignan and Valencian stories. My Home Exchange Kilkenny Ireland -Valencia Spain collection begins with an article entitled Home Exchange followed by a series of stories 1-17 commencing with 1. Right Time Right Place and translated already into Spanish beginning with El Momento y El Lugar Exacto. I post up new material usually on a Saturday morning. Enjoy! Read on…

My hobbies are swing dancing (preferably on warm summer nights), wordplay (any
time, anywhere) and travel (less eccentric more authentic and often solo).
My interests include films, radio, improving my language skills and swimming in the sea.

sharing the fun of travel

My Letsgoloolala Blog

My Blog is about sharing travel stories. It’s Sunday morning. I have just listened to short stories on radio. One of them was followed by the song The House of Fun. That nailed it for me. I want this blog to be fun. I want others to enjoy the blog and to feel motivated to share entertaining travel stories. As for me, I have the drive. I just need a little push. It might be something deep within, on the other hand it might be a prompt from an interview heard on radio or some random comment shared among friends. Travel and writing are my way of keeping life interesting.

My travel experience abroad began when I was thirteen with a flight to Paris with a neighbour who was all of fifteen. We met up once during that month of July.  We weren’t running away from home – I for one was heading on a great adventure.  My travel experience includes hostelling in every county in Ireland with the exceptions of Sligo and Armagh but I’ll get there too. I’ve been known to move from a cosy hotel back to a hostel where the *craic was mighty. Friendships formed at dance classes led on to trips that went from Cuba to Chile to Argentina, on to China and returning to many European countries.  More recently I signed up for homesharing and also home exchange abroad. The blog will commence with my homeshare experience in Perpignan France followed by my home exchange Ireland to Valencia Spain
